Principles
- Present closed figures only, with the close date.
- State definitions, reporting currency and rate policy in the pack.
- Keep the same schedules in the same order every month.
- Show restatements explicitly. Never revise a prior pack’s figures without a note.
- Pair every ratio with the absolute figures behind it.
Multi-period views
Directors read the month in the context of the quarter and the year. Bridges over one, three and twelve months, side by side, show whether a strong month is part of a trend.
How Revnewed calculates it
The board pack is generated from the closed month: headline metrics, ARR bridges over 1, 3 and 12 months, a twelve-month trend, largest gains and losses, renewals due in the next 90 days, ARR by legal entity and currency, and notes on definitions, rates and restatements.
It prints or saves to PDF, and the underlying figures export to CSV.
Common misstatements
- Open months presented as final
- Figures that can still move should be labelled provisional.
- Schedules that change each month
- Directors cannot compare what is not presented consistently.
- Ratios without their base
- NRR of 120% on ten customers and on a thousand are different findings.
